We’re Back
2010 September 3
We got back home day before yesterday. I had a request for a “video clip” from our journey that had a tight deadline, awaiting me as soon as I got home. I quickly edited this short video from interview sessions that Erin and I had during our last days in Buenos Aires.
I will be posting more videos as I get through the editing process, and with over 2500 gigabytes of still photographs, video and audio to look at, edit and make into a film, the process will be long. But that is where the stories are told – through the power of editing.
Keep following – it’s about to get interesting.

Love this. Gail, I somehow found your blog about a week before you left, and followed it up till now. I’m actually going to Malawi in November to document what some friends are doing in villages there and your work is inspiring! I’m also shooting DSLR and so in the process of gathering tech bits for my trip. I can’t wait to see how your documentary turns out!
Thanks Chris,
Safe travels in Malawi. As far as tech tips – I blog more about gear at my other blog

2,500 GB! Good golly, Ms. Molly. Well, I can’t imagine dealing with all that data, but I’m glad you are planning on dishing up storieS as you work on your one main Story. As you know the Web experience is all about little, digestible bits, and so it would be really great to see 2 to 5 minute movies of all types on Vimeo and here on your blog every week or three as you edit. Be extra cool if creating those piece would not only open our eyes in terms of you trip and subject, but also help you in your overall editing process — social media style.
