María Eugenia Cuyás is a clinical psychologist and tango dancer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, who has combined her two passions through the practice of tango therapy, a type of psychological and physical therapy that utilizes the teaching of tango to help people who are suffering from various mental disorders, such as Alzheimers, Parkinson’s Disease, and depression. María coordinates and teaches tango therapy workshops, in which she works with mentally disabled patients, as well as instructs other clinical professionals on how to utilize the method.
